Harlequin shrimp and dottyback

#1
So I added a harlequin shrimp to my tank yesterday thanks to Boogie and I do have a purple stripe dottyback. I was rereading some information about the dottyback and supposedly they find shrimp to be a yummy snack.

Now I havent seen the dottyback go after the shrimp at all, sometimes he'll check him out but I havent seen him be aggressive towards the harlequin at all. Should I be worried? I like the dottyback but I'm not to attached to him as I feel I'll have to remove him if I plan on getting a mandarin or less aggressive fish.

I have a 58 gallon with a fuge and a good amount of live rock and hiding spots. I keep the tank pretty well fed, would this be more of a worry if I go on vacation or something?

i didn't know that. He was in with a dotty in my tank and there were no aggression issues from mine. course, your results may vary.

Yeah he pays little attention to the shrimp at all, but then again the only fish he sharing the tank are a pair of clowns and he shows no aggression towards them either. I may swap him out for a royal gramma which are much less aggressive.

Btw, do you know if the harlequin is a male or female?
