Have a question about stand

alright so i am planning on upgrading from my 55 to a 75. When i built the stand for my 55 i had to make it bigger then the tank to have enough room for my sump and everything underneath. The stand is long enough for a 75 but from front to back it is 18" and a 75 gallon is about 18 1/2 "will it be alright for the tank to hang off the back of the stand about a half an inch?

Is ther room to nail/screew a 1x4 or 2x4 to the back I would not let it hang off myself

i think i will just buy a stand with the tank. I dont want to risk it.

+1 adding a support along the back would work

The entire bottom rim should be supported, if adding a board to the back supports the entire bottom rim it will be ok.

Yea, just put a 1x4 accross the back, then maybe put "legs" under it. Probably only need to go about half way down the stand. Should be more than enough.
