So the GF got a big (6-8" disc) GBTA from SaltySamurai a few days ago...in it's quest to find a suitable place to hang out it got sucked into a powehead a little bit. Damage was not to bad but she wanted to put it in my tank (90 gal ) to make sure it healed ok.
Well tonight it appears it is spawning. Lots of white clouds coming out of it. How bad is this for the other corals and fish. I have read a little but about it but have never experienced it before.

If I remove the nem to another tank to isolate it and it continues....will it eventually kill it too? I only have enough salt to do the 90 gal tonight.

I have an empty 37 gal bow front I could take water from my 90 and 125 to fill it so that I could isolate the nem. Would it be ok doing this?

I would say yes might as well get it isolated instead of putting the rest of your tank at a potential risk. Sorry I know nothing about nems at all so cant help with ths spaning or toxicity part.

Changed out about 30 gal of water, moved the nem to another tank with 50/50 new/old water.
All the clowns were trying to leave the tank... acting very odd. The bicolor blenny was out of the rocks and lying on the bottom pretty much. Alot of zoas are ****ed off as is the gorgonian, leather and frog spawn. Haven't seen the tangs, wrasses or damsels. Crossing fingers.

Thanks for the input everyone. Tank is looking better but still alot of zoas are closed and shrunken, gorgonian is dissolving and blenny and clowns are acting bad. Hoping things will come around.

you could try some prime to lock up the ammonia but i would suggest several big water changes over the next few days.

Didn't see this....
Well I lost probably 6+ different types of zoas/palys and the gorgonian I have had for almost two years. Or are in the process of going still. And my yellow/pink Xenia but all the fish and everything else are ok. Bummed about the zoas though.
