Help!!! Need Skimmer ASAP

Your tank will be OK without a skimmer while you are gone. If you have until tomorrow, I have a whole pile of skimmers that I am not using and some Sedra 7000 pumps - won't be home until really late tonight, though. You can borrow anything that you want.
Off chance, did you try cleaning out the impeller and magnet? If it is all swollen, then there is nothing that you can do, but sometimes they just get too much gunk in there.

I would let it sit without one before I would go into battle with an unproven weapon that cannot be watched. If the new pump came out, sprayed everywhere and emptied the sump, or the thing tipped over, that would be worse.
Just put a fresh reactor full of carbon on there and don't sweat it. The fish will surely get fed less while you are gone anyway.
