HQI Light is flickering

Calling all lighting experts, my Sunpod HQI 14K 75W dual sided like has started flickering. It just started this morning so I shut the light off for a few hours and turned it back on to find it doing it again 30 mins later.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I my light going bad or the entire unit?

Check that the bulb is pushed in all the way and is making a good connection. How old is the bulb/fixture?

Tried that and now it started again. The bulb I can't remember how old it is. The fixture was used for about a year, maybe a year and a half at the most and has been off since.

Hmmm. check all the wires otherwise i would find another bulb, even a slightly used one to try and see if the flicker goes away. Typically i believe a ballast will just work or not work, i dont think i have ever heard of a ballast making it flicker... but i could be wrong

And i believe thats a 70w fixture btw.

Sorry, you're right 70W. Tried posting and participating on a conference call for work at the same time. I will see what I can find or just leave it off for a bit.
