I got screwed today!!

Got screwed again today so fri morning contacted a guy on Craigslist about a 150 gallon tank acrylic that's been on for quite a while and we agreed on $150 and he tells me the earliest u can come get it is sat at 5 pm he's in Arvada so I say ok see you at 5. . Well I head that way from Brighton And get 5 min away and he texts me well I got a better offer and took it sorry! Wtf he texts me at 8 min till 5. I was ****ed dont agree to a price then sell it to someone else what a pos he is!!! This is the tank

it's been happening a lot even with people on here too. we would set up a date and no calls. then you hear that's it's been sold to someone else. but at least I didn't drive along way like you but still wasted an afternoon planning around watching my son to pick it up. sucks man, especially how much gas costs lately. I feel you man.

I think that people get flaked out on buyers and buyers get flaked out on by sellers it goes both ways, people never know what to do and with the way money is right it happens

It seems that this is more and more commend these days. I had a deal done with a member one this forum for a skimmer just this past Friday, just to get a text before I could get there that, I quote:

"Sorry to do this to you but I just sold it to _______"

Not going to put the persons name out that bought it because one he did not know and two he is a good dude! However the other member(s) that are doing these kind of things, SHAME ON YOU! We do remember!

I think it always goes both ways and honestly the ole saying about money talks and bs walks.......until you've paid for something it aint yours I'm just saying on the forums there are as many sketchy buyers as seller for sure so you shouldnt get too mad at em, we are all after all here for the love of the hobby and should always try to help each other out positively right

Used Acrylic tank... maybe it was delaminating at the seams and you saved yourself a headache Every large acrylic aquarium my father and I went to look at from cl had or was about to split a seam and that tank looks familiar, but we looked at a lot.
