Well, sorta.

So goslugsgo is over, and we're looking at my tank, talking algae. I mention, yeah, I have this weird green algae growing. I point it out, he says it kinda looks like your Green Pocillopora. So I reach in, snap off a piece, and sure enough it is.

I felt like a dork, not realizing SPS spawn and grows like that. I figured SPS frags were cut by man or delivered by the stork. So low and behold, I have 10 lil Green Pocillopora patches growing around the tank. Pretty cool, you learn something new everyday in this hobby.

Sounds like this is probably polyp bailout (a form of asexual reproduction) and not a true spawning. I think this is fairly common with Pocillopora. I know I have a small pocillopora growing that came in the tank as a tiny hitchhiker with some zoas. I still think it is pretty cool though. Always something weird happening in our tanks.

Sweet Scott! You must be doing something right. I'd be super excited to see something like that go on in my tank aside from the snail orgy that must happen daily. Snail eggs are starting to become more of my reason for scraping than just the coraline. Lol
