Anyone on here know how to install a high speed Internet port I had one where my command center was but when Comcast came out to install our stuff they took it out for some reason can anyone put one back in for me? I need it right outside the comand center of the house to hook up my apex to

How far away from the main router is it?

I can probably take care of it for you, just need to know how far and what road blocks are in the way.

The router is ipstairs but I have a comand center that everything comes into and then distributes through the house I need the port right outside the comand box. Or I could try to fish the wire up to the router and just have it go upstairs to the router straight to the apex

Personally, I would do the second option. If that's possible without too much work. I would think that a port outside the command box wouldn't allow you very easy access to the Apex since it wouldn't technically be on your home network. Not sure though as I've never looked at those setups that close. Either way, I can come lend a hand if needed.

I was going to do a bridged router setup on it but I could try to do it the other way to fish it through the wall

If you can't get Cat5 cable and a LAN jack installed in your situation, there is always the 'wireless hub' option. Nowadays even faster than your wired connection in most cases. They're super cheap too.

What exactly did Comcast do? That's odd they would remove something, I guess I'd have to see exactly what you're talking about. Did you have CTL DSL before? Does your cablemodem have built-in wireless, or did you have to add an external wireless access point, to connect wirelessly at your home?

Craig in your case i would put the apex on a wireless hub otherwise known as a gaming hub... made to eliminate the need to fish wires, the apex dose not need GREAT service it just needs connectivity and those hubs will achieve that easily. I looked and they run about 40.00-60.00.
