Hey all -

Anyone know an LFS that carries some bulkheads? I need a 1 1/2" Slip / FPT Sched 80. I am near Stapleton...

Thanks!

I don't know if it's schedule 80 but I have a 1 1/2" I won't be using. You can have it.

Thanks! I think I need 2 of them. No 100% sure if I need any or not - still playing with overflow issues and did not want to order from MarineDepot and wait for shipping. My BeanAnimal setup may be too high in the overflow due to the threaded male adapted I have to use with them. Going to a slip bulkhead will reduce the profile height by 2+ inches. I seem to remember that Aquamart used to carry that stuff too...

Oh you what I just thought of, Mcgukins in boulder carries them.

Fyi just incase you didn't know I'm 99% certain a sch 80 bull head requires a larger sized hole than the sch 40.

My current ones are sched 80, but thread / thread. AA did not have any so he sent me to a plastics company in Commerce City - they had them (and I bought), but the hole size was just slightly more than the marine Depot ones I drilled for. Anyways, it looks like the Reefcentral gurus of beanAnimal design figured out the problem with the overflow and all of this is probably not really necessary. My weir was pushing bubbles down into the external overflow and causing the siphon issues...

How was the place in Commerce City? Did they have a lot of parts we would be interested in?

They are great for your PVC / plumbing needs, but I wouldn't typically go there vs. ordering from Marine Depot - pricing was about the same. But chances are if you need something special in PVC they will have it.
