Looking for a light that will replace my 150w hqi on my 29bc, will any of these work. I don't know what black boxes are.

Black Boxes are a generic term for LED's that come in a black box housing. Most frequently these are made inexpensively oversees, sometimes you'll see them referred to as "Chinese Black Boxes". More often than not they typically run white LED's and Blue LED's, and have on/off switches to allow you to run just the whites or just the blues, and most have knobs that dim the whites and the blues. Typically they are 165w I believe. These lights run very well on a timer, some even have built in timers. There have been many successful reef tanks established using Black Box style lighting, so the thought that they are cheap doesn't necessarily mean they don't work well. On the other hand, they can't do things like ramp up (gradually build up to full intensity, when they come on they come on full power or to what ever you have them dimmed to), high end LED's can connect to WiFi so you can control your lights remotely, programmable weather or lightning storms are not available, auto acclimation, etc.
