Hello everyone -- my name is Darren and am obviously new to MASC, not to mention reefkeeping. I've had freshwater tanks for years and with my daughter's prodding, find myself in the midst of an entirely new world of skimmers, specific gravity, and live rock...certainly a far cry from what I'm familiar with. There's definitely a lot to learn!
Anyway -- I actually bought a skimmer off Craiglist from someone who turned me on to MASC, and spoke very highly of the group, so I wanted to join up...thanks for having me.
My first question to anyone who cares to respond is regarding live rock. I'm starting off with a 45 gallon tank, and believe I should get 45# - 90# of live rock, but any recommendations on a good place to get it? I was assuming online was likely the place to go, but thought I'd tap into all of your experience first as maybe there's an easier way.
