I have some extra live rock that I want to use, but I won't be able to use it until about the end of Janurary so I was wondering id the rocks would be able to stay live rock in a bucket with a pump and heater and no light?

agreed, keep it warm and the water moving some and it should be fine. Also a 10 or 20 gallon tank maybe be easier (Petco has the $1 per gallon sale now)
