I didn't pay enough for one of mine and have nothing but problems. Save up get something decent that doesn't have issues or need modifications just to get it to work.

+1. I gave people incredibly good deals when I parted mine out and I still charged $150 for the reactor itself and another $200 for the regulator (granted the regulator was the best on the market) and tank used. That didn't include a pH controller. You need to be able to set aside $200-$300 for a decent quality system or you may just be asking for a tank crash or a reactor that doesn't work worth a damn.

That $125 for the Aqua medic reactor is the best deal you're going to get. New calcium reactors are $300-$600 just for the chamber, $125-350 for a regulator, $40 for a ph probe, $50-200 for a co2 tank, $40 for a box of media. Calcium reactors are not cheap but totally worth it!

If you can find complete CA reactor setups for under $200 you should jump on them.
