Hi, does anyone know of a local store with a good selection of designer clowns? I'm very picky and am looking for a large selection.

Aquamart usually has a fairly large selection. Probably worth giving them a call to see how many they currently have, or when they will get their next order of designer clowns in.
I ordered mine from Nick Ambrosio without seeing them first and was very pleased with what I got. Is there a specific trait you are looking for in a type of designer?

Yes, I've been to Aquamart a few times.

I'm looking for a Picasso Perc with an extreme helmet or a Snowcasso to pair up with my Bali super cultured clown. Sadly, the female super cultured I had jumped out last weekend and I couldn't save her. Really sucks because the pair was worth a small fortune...

I've been looking on the internet and can't find a good match.

Hmm that's tough. I'd say LA's divers den would be a good option, but all the divers den premium clowns seem to be pairs.
Maybe call around and see if any shops can text you a pic if they have any that match what you are looking for.

Oh if you are looking for that rare of super clowns, you aren't going to find them in any LFS here in Colorado.

* edit - I hope you do find some here locally, but if you don't and you end up finding some elsewhere be sure and let us know where so we all know where to look :p

I had to google snowcasso - never seen that variety before. Pretty cool. Good luck. Maybe someone can special order it if you know who breeds them.

Im sorry Vince - I assumed he already hit up your store since he is in Ft Collins. Aaron (chswkt) if you haven't gone in and talked to Vince @ Great White Aquatics about getting you some, I would def recommend doing so.

We generally buy our designer clowns from Sustainable Aquatics. If they find something on their site we may be able to get it. Let us know.

Haha, I was just at Great White today over my lunch break. I saw one pretty nice snowflake, but again I'm super picky...no offense but I've literally looked at 100 clowns on-line and haven't found the one I want yet :)

After exchanging emails with the person I bought these clowns from, I've been able to trace the lineage of my clown to this importer. Check it out, he has the nicest clowns I've ever seen. He calls them Bali Aquarich clowns:

I contacted him last night and he said that he can't ship for a few months because of his health :(

After a lot of research, I found what I was looking for tonight, a Magneto clown (cross between a Bali Aquarich and a Doni's Reef Picasso). I bought the one on the right hand side:

The owner, Rudy, has been awesome so far. He took the time to take some pictures to update their status and sent them to me on a Friday night. His prices are fair too. If you're in the market for a one of a kind clownfish check him out!
