So, if I didn't already have enough things taking up my time, I figured I'd covert the lid from this old nanacube 12 to LEDs, and treat it like a frag tank. I have a few unused LED's, but might need more. I know I need a driver, and a heatsink.

If anyone has something laying around, please let me know what you have, and how much you want for it. Otherwise I'll order it online.

I have 3 of the Rapid LED pucks that have 2 blue and 1 white 3W crees on them. I thought I had a handful of single 3W LED's, but I kinda remember giving them to Khalis, or maybe it was someone else??

The driver I have is a Meanwell ELN-60-27-D. It is rated for 5-8 LED's. What would happen if I were to put 9 LED's on it? Would they just not be as bright?

I'll see if I still have some loose LEDs laying around...but I can't remember who I got them from lol. I remember I was supposed to get you a potentiometer at one point...I think ;)

That being said, I have one of the old chinese units that you can have for the heatsink, and there should be a good meanwell driver in there that was used for the whites; I picked up the driver online and it probably only has a few months use on it. The blue driver in that unit is chinese and probably dead...but the meanwell should still be good to go.

Let me know if you want to take the parts off my hands...I should have 3 good fans, a heatsink, and a driver from that unit along with potentiometers and possibly some loose LEDs

LOL, I knew there was something with LEDs and you. I don't remember who I gave them to, but I am sure they have been put to good use by now.

Can I give you some money for it?

Khalis - I appreciate the offer, but I think your fixture might be overkill, and I'd hate to rip apart something that is working for just one piece.

I've dug up enough parts to put everything together from my basement. And I've temporary wired together the 9 LED's to the driver, and it seems to work. The only thing I still need is a heatsink, and I can order one of those online.

I am guessing 9 LEDS (27 LED watts) should be enough for the nano-cube. I will build a frag rack out of egg-crate, and put it about 50-60% from the bottom to make sure the lights are strong enough. (unless anyone has any other opinions).

Turbo - Do you have a heatsink in your pile of left overs? It needs to be about 1.5" by 8-10 inches. (or larger).

I'm sorry about the delayed reply. The fixture is pretty much half dead at this point, so anything you'd like to salvage is available. That being said though, the driver for the whites was 40W so probably overkill, but it's dimmable so it's here if you need it. :) (It's actually inventronics, I previously said Meanwell)

Sounds like you're all set for the time being, but let me know if you change your mind.
