Yep. Tons at one point. Check my signature for links. I still have violet dreams in there but all the others are now in 2 fuges. No reason why I moved them all to the fuges except that I got into a really good buy of SPS frags and needed the room.

I have violet dreams in my display with about 15 emeralds and I have never witnessed them eating it. No clue about Halymenia (dragons breath) however I do know that is is one of the most palatable macros of them all and would guess that the crabs will demolish it.

Good to know. I decided against running a fuge in the back of my nanocube and recently got a clipping of dragon's breath...and yea, they devoured it.

Anywhere I can get some more info on the violet dreams, or is there a scientific name that will make searching easier? Can't seem to find much info on it, and wondering if it goes sexual and/or is difficult to control in the display.

Nope, no info out there! I say this because I was the first person to distribute it. I sent off pictures to algaebase.org and posted on RC for identification. I did not get any positive identification from anywhere so I named it :)

Red macros are the least likely to go sexual. I have had 0 issues with the violet dreams and it is not invasive at all. It does not form runners and does not attach to corals.

Hi Kris,

Do you sell the violet dreams at your location? I don't think i've seen it before. I would like to place some decorative algae in my Fluval Edge to help keep things in check, but i don't need much so it is difficult to actually order it from an online source. I currently only have a jester goby, serpentine starfish, and a camel hump shrimp in that tank although i plan on adding some small snails at some point.

The macros I have are sold by me personally and have nothing to do with Premier. In other words they are all in my system at home. I ship macros all across the country every month and do most my sales on Reef Central. I would have no problem shipping to the springs. Pricing and what is available can be found here:

Thanks
