I did not realize when I emailed Elite Reef today that it was a post that went out on MASC main page. For that I do apologize. I spent 12-14 hours yesterday, and close to $200 dollars trying to save my tank. That said, the derisive emails I received back, mostly from other MASC folks were not necessary. None of the rude postings knew the tank I bought, nor any of the circumstances with it. I did research, google the brown clear water concern and all responses only talked about diatoms. As it turns out, tetracycline will kill a reef aquarium fast! Not one post on google addressed it. I was at CSU for the reference department for many years so I'm trained to use search terms and look at many results. Plus plain common sense. Seems odd that people would wade into my post (again, I didn't catch it was a general broadcast message) over a circumstance they would have had no first hand knowledge. The LFS that sold me the antibiotic has worked with me very well. The new employee, a very nice person by the way, didn't know, he does now. The used tank I bought had/has multiple problems. We'll get it resolved, but insults left and right, from those that are not in the loop beg the question. I do agree Elite Reef has a wonderful store, this particular tank issue is an exception. Again, I didn't realize my email was going out to the MASC main page, I take responsiblility for not catching that. After spending 12-14 hours yesterday; wake up check the tank, the livestock were dying or dead again, it broke my heart. My daughter cried hard yesterday. I almost did this morning. I worked on the tank again today for 11 hours. The mom
