yea its nuts! just think how much more tank he can afford just because he does not have to buy bulbs and pay an elecric bill! So if i just ploped some frags out side in a little tank with no top i would just burn it up due to the uv and red light?

That set up is crazy!!! His stock is really amazing.

yea it is! its crazy just think he has what i would consider the most natural way to grow coral. and get the most natural colors out of them.

I have actually been to see his setup. It is sweet. He only runs the blues during the summer and clear for the short winter days. The whole thing has insulation panels and the panes drop down to cover the tank. He does have some issues with SoCal fires and smoke in the air.

I don't think I remembered my camera that day, but I can probably hit up the person I went with. I know she had her camera that day.

Steve is awesome. He is at most of the SCMAS events. His daughter is a piano prodigy. One of the nicest guys I have met. I had to go mid trip, or I would have shipped tons of stuff home.
