I've hooked up my circulation pumps (Aqueon 700gph) to a Red Sea Wavemaster Pro and now they are very noisy when they are powered back on. They rattle and buzz on most of the "on" cycles. I know the impeller has a 2-piece design with the impeller fins able to spin on the main impeller body section. I think this allows the pump shaft to spin the correct direction when turned on, but this is also the source (I believe) of the noise when it turns on.
Can the impeller assembly be super-glued together or will this fail the circulation pump? I thought the WaveMaster Pro did a slow power ramp-up to go easy on the powerheads, but apparently not. Any tips from the pros out there?
