Anyone ever have to use standard plumbers putty inside of a tank, sump, mixing bucket etc?
I'm just wondering it it reacts to saltwater or leaches anything undesirable. I believe its potable but not sure.
Like everything in this hobby there are a dozen different opinions. However from what I read its seemed to be a pretty common belife that the oils in standard plumbers putty are not considered to be "reef safe"
