Plywood on top of steel stand, yes or no?

So I am considering putting plywood on top of my steel stand with a piece of foam or something. Stand is 84" long and has a total of 5 cross support beams. My tank has a flat pvc bottom. What kind of plywood would one recommend along with a thickness.

You could probably do 1/2" and be fine. A 3/4" piece isn't that much more though. Does the tank manufacturer recommend this though?

With the supports I would do 1/2 and call it good.

I would go with plywood. But really with supports roughly every 16" you should be fine with any.

I would do 1/2" plywood. I would also check if the stand is perfectly level or not. If it is not I would put down some foam board as well.
