I have a fat happy purple dottyback that lives in my refugium because it ate my clownfish. So it is safe to say this one is not that nice to other tank mates. It is no longer than 3' probably more like 2.5' and eats quite well, lived in my sump for about 4 months now. If you have a tank with 100x more live rock than I do then this may be great for you(MAYBE!). It only attacked my clown at night time, so my guess is it was over sleeping space.
Looking to trade this very pretty, mean little fish, for just about anything.... a shrimp, a reef safe starfish, a cheap but nice looking frag, whatever...
The dottyback is safe and not hurting anything now, but I figure maybe someone would want to give it a bigger home than my refugium. It is also not shy, stares at me as much as my discus do.
In Louisville right off of 36.
