So tonight I am getting new lights. It's two 150 watt halides. And I had some pc fl.before. I'm just wondering if anyone has advice on how long to have these new halides on during the day as far as the transition for my corals and such. Thanks!
Going from PC to Halides is a big jump. I would probably start with 4-5 hrs and move up from there. Go slow though. Also, you may want to hang the Halides higher than you had the PC fixture.
Ok sounds good. Ya it a 46 bow and I'm thinking of hanging the halides apprx a foot or so above. That should be okay right? An apprx how long should the light transition take me in that tank and apprx how long should the halides be on a day after trans?
What other lighting do you have? Some guys don't go over 8 hrs with their halides on, and some run them for 10. Every tank is different and it might take a while to find the sweet spot for your tank.
Well. I don't really have anything for this particular tank. I had a pc fixture and then right now I'm hanging one 150 watt over it to help transition to two. Other then that nothin really. I have tons of stuff for dif tanks just not my size
