Red Sea Max Skimmer

I am having issues with my skimmer for my 65 gallon RSM. It was purchased new in Feb (the skimmer and pump) and worked great. The last 2 months it has not been working consistently and either flows too much or when I get it set with the "Dry' bubbles", it seems to shut down to nothing. I took the unit apart and cleaned it very well and am still unhappy with the result. I have left a message for RSM and hope this can be resolved.

Question- When i first bought my tank someone had retro fitted a "non stock" skimmer, since I did not know how to work it, I just replaced it with the one above. Is anyone really good a figuring out this stuff, I would like them to come and see this "non-stock skimmer to try it. I will gift this person an acan.

Clean out the air tube if you havnt already. Salt creep builds up in there overtime.

Great CHris, you can look at both skimmers, I am going to clean out the tubes tomorrow and then I will pm you.
