Okay Im torn between two systems right now. I know I will have many different opinions on this but I've never used either so let me here them. I plan on buying ai sol leds and would like the droid app for the apex but I can't find the app. Anyways what are your opinions.

In all honesty, they will all do just about everything you want. What is important is how into coding you want to get, like the Reef Angel, and how much you want to have to figure out. The Apex has been in the market the longest of the 3, RA and RK. It's still not the level of a Profilux, but that ones out of a lot of people's league money wise.

Most important thing is to find one that fits what you want to do. If you can see the interface on them before hand that would be even better. That's going to be my goal before I buy one.

Apex, i have a reef keeper and will be moving to an apex. In my opinion apex does everything the RA does but with a much easier and more able interface.

There's a dedicated Neptune forum on ReefCentral, check that. Also run searches on: 3Reef, ReefCentral, TheReefTank, ReefBuilders, MichiganReefers, & ManhattanReefs. The Internet is your friend.

ANDROID APPS:

Neptune released their Android app today?:

Here's a thread about two different 3rd-party Apex apps. HeneryH is in there too:

As a quick followup to my Post#7 above, I've read about five decent threads on various Nat'l forums, comparing Neptune Apex (full blown version) vs. Reef Keeper Elite, trying to stick with 2012 threads and ignore the 2011 and prior. After a lot of arguing with my wallet, I've decided to go with the full-blown Apex and not worry about any roadblocks down the road. But BOTH are awesome. Unfortunately probably the most expensive option, but includes more features out of the gate.

I like that the Apex might have a little higher quality and track record for stability and hardware issues, better overall cust.support and RMA/warranty support, has a factory-supported Android app (not 3rd party or beta), excellent PC-interface software w/ alarming, nice web server, can wirelessly control my Vortech MP's, good graphing/charting for trends, moonlight/lunar cycle control, UPS control, and customizability out the wazoo for more technical people to program. Also a good starter manual available online, vs. the RK forums.

Feel free to post up any thoughts that the RKE will do all that and just as good, they've fixed any customer support / warranty issues?, etc...
