I have just been wondering what other people do for their fuge lights. I have mine on 24/7, but was wondering if others run theirs opposite their DT light cycle and which is preferred and why is that your preference.

I run mine 24/7 and have cheato growing really good, I know of others who run it opposite of their display light and that seems to work just fine too. I have ran mine 24/7 for the last 1.5 years and it seems to work great for me so I never messed with it.

I flip mine, off when display is on. Helps balance the PH a tad.

I run opposite of display lights, It does help the ph a little, and I read somewhere that cheato needs a rest period (although I know plenty of people run 24/7 with great cheato growth). I seem to have more problem algae, and less chaeto growth when I tried to run 24/7.

I run mine opposite the display lights as well and have had good growth on the cheato.

I guess I'm just lazy. I have mine on the same timer as the DT. My setup is well aerated though, so I don't feel like there should be a big pH swing from dO/dCO2.
