Any recommendations? I am looking at buying my first one and since I have a nano tank, getting the largest one isn't a priority just a quality built product.

Also, would the local stores match an online price?

Thanks.

I am still on the first one I have ever owned, it is a kent maxima, and it seems to work fine, honestly I think we could just top off with tap water since we live live in colorado.
I am pretty sure Mike at aqua imports does, or did, (dunno anymore, been a few min. since I have been over there)

I know some horticulture stores that sell cheaper ones, way to grow etc....., no R/O membrane in them, just particulate and AC, -0- waste, and very low TDS.

This one is on sale for $120, I have a Spectrapure and love it, but I have the Max/Cap version so I can't vouch for this exact version. I can vouch for the quality of their products though and customer service. I recieved my unit with some damage to one of the housings and I had a replacement no questions asked within 3 days. Now I have a spare as I am pretty sure it was just cosmetic damage.

It was also pretty easy to set up and get calibrated.

Good luck!

I have a nice 90gpd spectra pure I can sell you for 100 with TDS meter. All filters are pretty much new but it does need a new ro membrane which you can get on line for 35. I'm in westminster near 104th an federal if you want to chech it out. All be home all weekend

Is it a 4 or 5 stage?

Yep and I think some one here has a BRS 5 stage with tds for sale in Loveland for $125 so that could be a better deal for him if he wants to make the drive.

I have a BRS 5 stage plus...had it for a few months and it works great, though my di filter seems to be going faster than I though it would...but I don't run mine much, which I'm told can shorten the life of a di unit.
