Rock flower nem won't eat

#1
I got this guy a few weeks ago and he hasn't moved from his spot in the sand next to a rock. He stays open pretty much all day and his mouth isn't gaping - not displaying any signs of ill health that I can tell, but anything I offer to eat, he won't take. He might bring it in like he's going to eat it, but then his tentacles come back out and the food just hangs there til a fish or shrimp comes along. Tried small pieces of fish, mysis, brine. Are they just super slow eaters and he would eventually eat it if it weren't for the thieves? Or am I feeding the wrong stuff? If I can't figure it out or he needs a tank without shrimp and a nosy tang, I may have to rehome him.

Hopefully that's not what this one is needing or I am screwed. I don't run a fuge and there's no high flow spot that would be handy to put him in.

I have mine in a high flow area. However, I suspect this isn't your issue. What are your parameters? From my experience they aren't slow eaters at all, rather they eat very quickly. Try some live clam you may also try soaking some mysis in garlic. feeding at night while the lights are out may help some.

Good luck
