I have a Red Sea Max 250 for sale. It has been neglected mostly due to my year old kid taking most of my spare time. There is still lots of coral in the tank along with fish. Hair algae has been very aggressive mostly due to my neglect. At one time this was about the most upgraded RSM250 you could make. Please see pictures.

The tank has:
LED conversion (Still have all the parts to put the original lights back on)
ATO
Chiller
Heater
BRS Dual Reactor
Deltac skimmer (also have original)
Stand
Spare tank (bottom plastic cracked so they replaced but tank still good)

I also have a RO\DI system from BRS including tanks to hold fresh and salt water. There are lots of testing supplies and spare parts to go along with the tank. Easily $3000 worth of stuff.

I don't exactly know what to ask for this stuff but I am located in Alamosa so it is a little out of the way and will be taken into consideration in the price. Please give me your offers. You can message me here or email me at gregudolph@gmail.com or call me at 719-696-3422.

I think it's hard for people to send in offers, they don't want to insult you with a low ball offer. It's always hard to put a price your system because you have a lot of time and energy into it, it just hard for people to know if you are looking for $8000 or $650. The Alamosa thing hurts too, you might have to deliver it to Denver or something?

As for the RSM 250, it's a sweet tank! My Mom has one, she is 80 years old and is able to keep up with it all by herself!

I'd like more details about the chiller and the skimmer - but a chiller weighs 40 pounds so shipping could easily exceed $100. If there was some way of getting it to Denver, I might be interested.

There is also a lot of work to be done to get the tank back into shape. I also agree with the distance and not having a starting point in your selling price.

I really wont be insulted. I know that in this hobby you never get out of it what you put into it. I'm guessing I have $5000 in it and I would be happy if I could get 1/5th of that out of it. It really is a complete system with everything needed from making water through operation of the tank.

The chiller is an Arctica that fits either in the stand or next to it. I believe it is the 1/10th or 1/5hp chiller. I can tell you it has no trouble keeping up with the tank. The skimmer is the Deltec MC 500 that works perfectly.

I agree it would take some effort to get the hair algae out of the tank. It can be done but I just done have time.

Distance is also a factor. Alamosa is in the middle of nowhere. Also one of the reasons the tank is suffering. When I was in Utah there was a huge community and that made it really fun. Down here I'm on my own and that's hard when things go wrong.

How about a starting point of $1500 and we will go from there. Believe me when I say I will listen to all offers. I will be happy if I can get this tank to a good home.

I have been trying to convince my wife without success. This is the exact system I would want to upgrade too from my small 24 gal nano. I did pass your post along to my brother, he might be interested. Glws

I make frequent trips to Alamosa for camping and generally bring a trailer. I could possibly help facilitate the move back to Denver in trade for some corals if someone wants it and agrees to a deal.
