scooter blenny, what to feed

#1
Does anyone know if there's a food that scooter blennies will eat? I know their like the dragonet's but have read a lot about them eating frozen foods like shrimps and what not. But does the scooter mainly go for copepods like the dragonet's? Or does he just kinda scavange around for what ever is on the bottom of the tank

They eat copepods, and will basically hunt for them all day. Mine will also eat frozen brine shrimp, and frozen blood worms. It just depends on the fish, but I also have a target manderine that loves the small Formula One pellets.

Ok cool, I'll go to the store and see what I can find. Petco has some good stuff, but not always. Sucks their the only fish store in Cheyenne. I'll do what I can to get him something he will eat. If nothing I'll have to get some stuff from algae barn then

Your talking about the formula one pellets by ocean nutrition right?
Yes. Not sure why that fish likes it, but it does. The scooter wont have anything to do with it though... Fish are funny.

Ok. What about the new life spectrum 1mm sinking pellets? Think he'd go for those? Cause today he just stared at the frozen food going by him and just went on his way. If not I'll breakdown and go to algaebarn

Other than there natural food source, it can take a while to get them trained on different foods. You should ask who you got it from if they even got it to eat.

I had luck with cyclopeeze in the past but he stopped eating itnone day and died a week or two later. One thing I had read when I did have him was dragonettes need to eat multiple times a day and if they go more than a day or two without food they won't ever eat again and die within a week or two one article said to make sure they eat ib front of you so you know its not on its way out.

Lol, yea I didn't feel like waiting it to see if he would eat anything else. My dottyback won't eat flake food. He will only eat frozen foods. So I figured I'd get my scooter his own food if he's gonna be picky too
