Well i think this is the place to post this.
Today i topped off my wifes nano tank in her kitchen, then left to run some errands, about 2 hours later i get back and notice my Blue hippo tang is gasping for air at the top of the tank and my 2 black clowns are huddled together at the bottom of my tank, my corals are all closed and the lunar eclips paly and the ricordea are purple/black looking, and my 2 nems looked like death was moments away. The tang and my smaller clown looked like they had a white film/brown marks all over their body. fearing the worst i pulled the fish and put them in water i pulled from my 90g. after i rescued the fish i went to investigate the tank and i found my led wires were in the water and from the looks of it one of the fish (im assuming the tang because of burn marks around the gills/mouth). the tang passed away shortly after moving it into the holding tank, and my clown wasnt too far away either. After i diagnosed the problem with help From the mascers on chat, i put my fish back in the tank with the lights off (after removing the problem wiring.) I also placed an airstone in the tank (even though when i went to buy it the guy at the fish store told me it wouldnt do any good). Upon arriving back home it looked as though the 2nd casualty had occured as the clown was lifless on the bottom. i thought i noticed a breath from him so i hooked up the airstone and let the tank be as i was getting ****ed off that all my aquatic friends had died from electrocution.
after 3 hours this is the result, the clown indeed wasnot dead and i found him swimming through the airbubbles provided by the airstone. and is now swimming all over like he use to do (although he looks like hell from the burn marks and damage to the fins.) My ricordea has opened up slightly as well as my corals are slowly beginning to re-emerge.
i forgot to take pre photos, but here are some after photos. one nem is open and spreading back out but the other is still huddled so lets hope he is ok.
this littleguy i thought was dead
