I had something similar appear in my tank. That looks like it's too thick to be those little vermetid snails, and I was seeing the same thick globs of mucus.

It ended up being spaghetti worms. I learned that they secrete a cloud of mucus to collect sand and sediment from the water column, which they then allow to harden to form those tubes you see them living in. Any chance you see any worms hanging out in the rocks where it's coming from?

Oops...I meant spaghetti worms. But yea, I missed the fact that it's happening in all 3 tanks simultaneously. Is it blowing around the tank? Attached to rocks? That's odd that it's happening an all of your tanks...kinda makes me want to wonder if it's some sort of bacteria bloom introduced through your source water.

it dose kinda blow around but gets caught up on the rocks and corals. i use a spectra pure ro/di filter for my water and just replaced the filters.

Did you do a water change on all the tanks around the same time?

just cleaned everything in my sump with the wc today. Cleaned the entire skimmer and pump, media reactor, media reactor pump, return pump and return line. everything was covered with a coat of this slime. ive noticed my skimmer skimming more wet since this started.. its filling up in like a day and used to take about a week to fill.
