Making a sump for,the 660. Came up with this design it will run right to left. Using the overflow in the acrylic tank going to cap the bulkhead holes off and use tgat as where my water will come in and then im going to cut the right angle of the overflow down 5" & it will let the water overflow into the area on the right where it will run through 3 7" filter socks then through the bubbletrap and the center section will be all refugium. Then into my return section where it will be drilled for my hammerhead return.

Anyone have any sugestions? The sump is 84"x24"x24"

With a sump of that size I dont know you need baffles. I don't have bubble traps in mine, no problems yet. Depending on your flow rate maybe section off an area for the fuge. Or have one completely separate. Whats one more tank....

What about doing a removable fuge? So you could easily clean and remove detritus.

I don't use baffles and keep the fuge separate. This is a good idea in case you ever need to treat the tank for pests where you can take the fuge offline to save the critters from dying - FWE, Interceptor, Prazi, etc. will kill fuge inhabitants like crazy. Just a 18 watt maxi-jet 1200 and a gravity return is more than enough to keep a 75g, or bigger, fuge with enough water flow. You can also move your shrimps and crabs into the off-line fuge if you need to treat.

Other than that, I might suggest putting it up off of the floor a foot or two where you can siphon out of it.
