You know the next meeting is a DBTC right? I may catch flack for this, but in my opinion, arranging frags trades before hand isn't in the spirit of the event.

I am not sure. Never been to a dbtc event. I assumed it was more of a random trade thing. But on a side note, I bet no one will bring anything on that list to be Dbtc'ed but I may be wrong.

That's kinda the point. I promise there will be frags there you don't have as well. Your welcome to do whatever with your frags, don't bring them, bring them, it's up to you, but the rest of us are going to wait our turn to choose a frag from the available list, and you have already done your trading. You don't need this meeting for that, You can just arrange a private trade.

I intend on bringing frags to be DBTC'ed but this is more looking for high end stuff that does not get DBTC'ed. But I do prefer to do the trades at meetings so I don't have to drive an hour or two to Denver every time I want to trade with someone. I guess that's the downside to living outside of Denver.

I'm not trying to pick on you Seth, the random draw layout of this particular meeting is to try and keep it fair. You get a ticket for high end frags, and people holding like tickets get to draw first, and down the list.

I know your not picking on me. I am just picky of what goes in my tank.

Honestly, I look at this meeting as a DBTC, and bring frags I want to share with the community. If there is stuff on the list I like, I pick something, if not I don't. I gave away most of my tickets last year, and not because of the quality of frags, but limited room in my system. I don't blame you for not wanting to get burned on one of your high end coral, this just might not be the best venue for that.

I think you will be amazed with what shows up, I remember the first year I got my hands on a ticket for high end coral! The people that have high end coral tend to bring high end coral because they know how the ticket system works. Rest assured sir, if you come with high end coral you leave with high end..... I bring coral of every level, and often give away my beginner and most of my intermediate tickets. I guess my advice is to bring corals on par with what you want to bring home, frag average and beginner stuff with the knowledge that you are giving into a amazing club and DBTC program and have fun, this is the club... not craigslist! :fish:

Last year I left with watermelon chalice, garf bonzai, and ora blue voodoo. You wont see stuff like oregon tort that goes for 75+ for a tiny branch, but there is lots of high end stuff there.

This is what if figured. 98% of the list I am looking for is Oregon tort class coral and higher. Hence looking to trade. I have committed a bunch of coral already to the swap to be DBTC'ed. But I need to make it worth me driving to Denver. Otherwise I will just send up the corals I committed with someone going. I don't mind helping the club. Its just I need to justify spending an entire day to make the trip.

I actually sent home 3 Oregon tort frags at the various DBTC meetings and have seen a good deal of higher end stuff brought over the years.

I only went to last years, and it appeared that the "advanced" category was primarily frags in the $30-50 range, but plenty of good selection. That comment was basically saying to expect frags that are as rare or rarer than the stuff seth put as "stuff I have", but there isnt gonna be incredibly rare and expensive stuff like a cornbred chalice.

I fragged up a red dragon for the swap, I had to call in with a sick kid today so hopefully I can still go! If so it will be up for grabs.
