I picked up a UFO from a member around 3 months ago. I am loving the light that it is putting out but last night the fan stop working so I picked up a new fan and it still didn't work so I am thinking it is power supply for the fan.

So I was wanting to know if one kessil would be enough light for a 30 gallon oceanic cube. I have softies and some lps. Thanks

Ya I know it sucks my mom really likes it. I called sunshine systems. From what I have read I guess they went out of business. I have been looking for for replacement parts but no luck.

I'm sure you could get a generic fan power supply from a computer store or RadioShack. If you need help let me know, I feel really bad about this!

That stinks! That light treated me well for a while in the middle of an LED rebuild.

Just a heads up...you can probably find a 12V power supply at radio shack for about $10 and wire the fans that way. Not as clean as having an internal driver run them when the lights come on...but it'll work.

edit: Jack beat me to it, but I agree, a regular 12V supply would work fine.

Ya I was thinking the samething about the power supply but wasn't sure. I pmed mikem about the kessils he has for sale. I would like to fix it but I am in need of a light because my mom is going on vacation in a week. I was lucky we didn't sale her old light. When she gets back in town maybe me can hook just and see if we can fix it.

Jack don't feel bad about the light it is just like any other electric one day it is working and next it isn't.

thanks Ross

You shouldn't beat yourself up. People know what to expect when they buy used.
