Urchin or Starfish?

I am thinking of getting one of these to help with the algae on my glass. However I don't know which one would do a better job. I think if I get both one of them will starve as my tank is only 30 gallons. Yes I am aware that urchins are great bulldozers, however are there any cons about starfish? And if so what are they?

I really don't think either would would clean your glass every well. Stars clean sand very well and urchins clean rocks, Snails are good at glass.

Do you have a suggestion of snails, I use to have bunch but they all died within a few days. My parameters where correct to, hover I think they were shocked as I ordered them

Try a abalone or a sea hare.

I've never tried a abalone, but sea hares always seem to disappear in my tank. Does elite reef sell abalones?

E-mail John at http://reefcleaners.org Is the most helpful guy when it comes to this stuff! He will not try to over sell you either.
I have made many orders with him and Can't think of a time when I lost any livestock lost from shipping. But if anything does go wrong he will bend over backwards to make it right.

I've had urchins clean up glass VERY well. They just do it on their time, not yours. ;)

I lost a good amount on my first/last order...but in retrospect...I didn't contact him to see what he could do. So I won't push people away. Expect some seriously small critters!!

urchins, short spine. easy to feed for supplementing its diet. fish cant get in to get out food. cleans glass good and doesn't make to much of a mess as long as stuff is secure.
