For ****es sake, my 10" volitans just ate another damn fish. That's 2 big goats and 2 big wrasses.

So now the tank is looking pretty empty, except the 6" harlequin tusk, that I need to start feeding like mad so he gets bigger quick.

I"m not exactly sure what I'm looking for...but let me know if you have any big fowlr fish that you want to get rid of and/or rehome...triggers, angels, puffers, tangs, other bigger bruisers...thanks!

That sucks Dave! Hope you get some to teach him he's not as big as he thinks he is.

Ha, I wish I could teach him a lesson. I should impale him with a pen like Leslie Nielsen did in the naked gun.

lol. yeah i should. kids just love him though. well heck, if he eats everything else, except the other big volitan i have in there, maybe i'll do a scorpion tank.

i never would've thought he'd get the red coris wrasse. they kept their distance from each other. then after the tank stress/commotion of my siphoning today, the volitans looked pregnant with triplets and the wrasse was gone. the wrasse must have panicked, taken a wrong turn behind the rock, and got cornered...wrong place at the wrong time...RIP

I had a lion fish eat a much smaller lion once. Anything they can fit in their mouth is fair game to them!!

I am not a FOWLR guy but I do believe puffers and triggers dont mix with lionfish. If you want to teach the lionfish a life ending lesson than though in a aggressive trigger. Best of luck!
Look, I know what I'm doing. I've got a solid stocking strategy based on hope and denial, so I don't need any advice. It's worked so well that I've put in then taken my tank apart to chase out 7 other huge fish. Oh and a large maroon clown lionfish impaling death as well. So like I said, I know what I'm doing.

I may have a nine inch niger trigger who seems to be too big for my 4 foot 150 gallon project I'm working on..

thanks Ken...may have to go check it out

thanks Bryan...I'll give it some though

lol Robert...all said, you are right, at this point and after so many tank tear downs, I'm stupid to try another fish that could be a compatibility issue...oh well...

anyone else that has something to consider, let me know, keep possibilities coming my way...

I might have a foxface rabbitfish if your interested in purchasing for cheap. He's approximately 6 inches long.

Jeremy...thanks for the offer...PMd a response a minute ago...

Craig...thanks for hte offer...I think I need to stay away from wrasses...my tusk has had a hand in maiming or killing any that i've put in so i think he's not down with wrasses and hogs...

but i'm still interested if you (or anyone else) might have something that needs to go
