What is this?

There is this light blue sponge like thingy growing on a rock between the polyps on one of my zoa rocks. Do you think its ok to cut into it to frag it? Here is a picture off my phone sorry its crappy

Looks like sponge to me. BUT, if its on zoas you got from me you might want to cut a small section and taste it, it it tastes like rasberry gum, I'll have my daughter write you an apology note, she draws pretty good sad faces.

Yes sponges are usually low light.
