What would you do? Adding more lights?

I have a biocube 8, and am thinking about adding some extra lights. It currently has 2 PC 18's in it, and the simplest solution seems to be adding a strip of LED's. From digging around, these seem to be my options, unless I do a DYI, which I'm not sure if I want to go down that road at this time. It doesn't look like it will save me much money, or add enough extra light to make it worth it. I'm leaning towards the mini evo, or the ecoxotic, but like the slimness of the stunners, and the size of the reefbright.

What would you do?

$70 – 6 watts - stunner - 12"

or

$100 – 12 watts - exotica - 12"

or

$110 – 9 watts – current usa true luman pro - 12"

or

$70 – 9 watts – mini evo - 12"

or

$115ish?? – guessing 9 watts - reefbrights - waiting to hear back from gonzo with the specs for the 8".

I don't think there is a way I could get all 3 of them in there, unless they can be modified and shortened. How tall are they?

They are each 12.5" long, 1/2" wide, and about 3/4" tall with reflector, without reflector they are under 1/2" tall. The nice thing about these is you could always add more later or different color combos as your lighting needs change.

i have an led light that came on my 8 gallon cadlights tank. It is pretty sweet, it just screws onto the back. I only used it about three weeks before the tank cracked. It is pretty slick.

bruby - it looks like it's a 6.5 watt system. I'd be interested to know how many bulbs, the colors, and how big the unit is to see if I can use it.

sazama - do you have a link for the evo btm's? I can't find them online.

The cad lights website says it is equivelent to 48w of T5 HO
I paid $200 for the whole setup, I would probably take $100 and I have some stunners here that we could talk about as well if you wanted some more blue or I even have the ultra violet for the blacklight look.

the 6.5w has to be power consumption because it has 108 bulbs, 36 are blue. Total length is 12" and width is just over 7". One power cord that I had on a timer. You cant seperate the blues and white, but hey what can you expect for $100?
