WTB 250 w DE halide ballast

The hamilton ballast i have has started to have issues and the bulb will not fire unless you touch it the magnetic field from my body seems to get it to go but i dont feel like touching my bulb everyday have everything just want to find a used one thats not expensive as im debating going LED Thanks guy and gals :)

Have you tried a new bulb?

yup new bulb all connections good check all with volt meter i have 2 of the same ballasts and both do the exact same thing neither will fire unless you physically touch the bolbs near the igniter disc
i read something about bad diodes somewhere a while back while i was on my 7 mth lawnmower vacation

Halide experts : will a m80 old school ballast fire double ended bulbs? i have a se halide ballast but it weighs like 30 lbs these hamilton ones are like 2 pounds and are little electronic ballasts.

WTB 250 w DE halide ballast

PFO is M80. Many consider them the best. The reef cube is my favorite product that aqua medic doesn't make anymore and also m80.

+1 on one of Rics reef cubes. Got one a few months back from him, fires my DE phoenix without any hiccups, and was easy to splice in.
