I'm realizing I have a calcium issue, and need to start dosing. If anyone has one they aren't using? I could use 1 or 2, as I can dose baking soda through the ato if needed.

Thanks!

Thanks sir. I had just started researching them when i posted the thread, and my thought when i saw he wanted $150 for it was "i'm not paying $150 for a freakin dosing pump." Now that i've had a week or so to research, i realize that was a good deal, but it's sold. :-(

Thanks anyway! Still looking if anyone is selling.

Jebao's dosing pump is pretty solid and awesome price for 4 dosing heads. http://www.amazon.com/DOSING-extend...=1415635617&sr=8-1&keywords=jebao+dosing+pump
One thing to keep in mind with any of the chinese ones with this style, the tubing needs to be replaced every 3 months, the rollers need to be replaced every 6 months, and they tend to lose calibration every 2 to 6 weeks. Over the long run, a higher quality pump with the brs style heads will cost about the same with less maintainance.

Yeah i've definitely looked into the Jabeo doser. My fear's are it just not lasting... When it comes to a $80 wavemaker vs the $400 Vortec, i'm willing to take my chances. But if it's only to save $100 or $150? Then I'm a little tentative. Do you have one? Do you find what Zombie says about calibrating it?

I actually just got an Apex this past weekend! Haven't set it up yet, but i got the Lab Grade PH Probe model. This is probably why i'm not looking to spend another $350 right now, haha.

Yeah i see it's in a few weeks. Damn this hobby is pricey. I made a spreadsheet back in March of all the things i needed to buy for my 75g tank. I seriously never did anything but save money, I probably blew $8 on breakfast burritos over 5 months, and that was it. I STILL underestimated this all, lol.

So, yeah that Apex one looks awesome, but man, i can't drop $350 on a doser right now. Maybe a year from now, but i'm running 2 koralia 750's that need upgrading before i drop that kinda cash on a doser, lol.

Thanks for the tip. I might just manually dose for the next few weeks, and then see if they run a Black Friday sale. Looks like they were $30 of last year...

However, still open to used ones.

I have a dower that I bought brand new but never used it 6 months ago, I can't remember the brand. Let me check tonight when I get home.
