WTB Dragonet eating from food bowl

#1
So I have had my tank up over 3 years, its now just all coral and I want to put a single dragonet (Like Ora Blue male, or a pair).

After re reading everything I clearly see that I can't feed one with my pods cause they will eat them all to fast. I am looking for a captive breed (preferable) mandarin dragonet or close options. Please pm me and I will review and let ya know!

Aquamart had a pretty large one today when we stopped in. Not sure if its eating frozen foods or only live. Might try giving them a call tomorrow and see.

Have you thought about supplementing the pods with phyto to increase their growth rate. And you could alway replenish pods from reef2go they always have a special going on them

Sweet thanks for the heads up Jimmy, Ill call tomorrow.

Andrew, I have just recently. I told my wife I wouldnt do it 3 years ago but maybe it isnt a pain these days? I'll go look for info to see if growing my own pods is an option and go from there. Thanks for the input.

Has anyone used the feeding methods recently to get one to eat from a bowl? Is there a different animal I should be getting if I am devoting a 34g to one fish? I am up for all input/ideas :)

Both mine eat frozen foods, they can be trained, but it takes time. I trained mine in qt tanks, using rock from the dt to make sure they had pods (id switch them out every couole days). I started feeding live brine and once they took to that I started adding frozen brine, then mysis, so fourth: and so on, until they were eating the same mix the rest of the fish eat, and into the dt they went
