I'd worry about the coral bandeds. I had one in my tank and he took out a large cleaner right in front of my eyes. I figure they'd make quick work of a harlequin.

Agreed. My coral banded are jerks for sure. They got ahold of my 1" clown some how. But my cleaner is still hanging in there. I have a pair of Harley's in the 30. So cool.

Yeah that's what i am worried about, those banded are just plain vicious! I had a 3" naso that got sick and weak and they wouldn't leave it alone. Needless to say that they devoured it when it died, or they may have killed it, i am not ruling it out.

If I could catch the pair of banded I have they would be history. It's a hunt every night.

I borrowed a fish trap trying to catch damsels and as soon as i put food in the trap coral banded were the first ones to go in there. They pretty much camped out in there until i got the trap out. may be you can use that to catch them. just a thought.

that's what I did to get mine outta my tank. Greedy lil... jerk... jumped right in it after the food, and out he went. I will never again have one of those. I was so peeved when I saw him kill Shrimpio Andretti that I'd have tossed him in the snow if I had caught him right then.

I'd get those SOB's out but they were the first critters in my tank and my wife got those for me. So kinda have mixed feeling about them. My reasoning for getting a harlequin was to try to control the population of the asterina star fish. I saw a couple of those things crawling on my spiderman zoa mini colony last night. NOT COOL!!

They're great starfish eaters. Maybe put the coral bandeds in your sump? I'd just hate for you to feed them a $25 meal instead of getting rid of your asterina issue.

I picked up 2 from animal attraction in greeley a week ago. 1 left in a small tank. They all were eating well. Mine are doing great already taking care of my asterina star outbreak.
