Every one of those is available in town - I have all of them but the snow cone, but I do have flaming orchid, wolverine and avengers from RR and about 3/4 of the . Most people who have them rarely post, or not at all. Not many of them sell, but will trade... except for the ORA stuff. Speaking or ORA, did you mean the ORA Frog Skin, or the AA Frog Skin - big difference.

If you really want to get into high end SPS, then buy some, grow them up and trade them. Having skin in the game is a great way to get going, but you are going to likely have to pay retail from RR, ReefFarmers, Atlantis or the like. I have frags of about a dozen corals on the ReefFarmers LE list, but if I sell them, then I cannot trade them. :) If I do sell them, then I sell them for retail since I will have to pay retail to get what I could have traded for. Having something that another collector wants is better than cash. I will warn you that getting into high end frags early will yield very small frags - my Joe's Rainbow came in like the size of 4 pieces or rice. The Joe the Coral is the size of the end of a pencil eraser.

Also, unless you can prove the lineage, then don't call something by a name. Call it name-like. If you get a bad rep if you call wild/no-name stuff by real names. In most cases, an experienced SPS keeper can tell a knockoff WWC Yellow Tip, for example, from the real thing. Same with becker, miagi torts, etc.

High end SPS is a bit of a different game - the main way that it is different is that the keepers are rarely online since they know what they are doing and don't want to argue with the noobies about stuff. I hope that this does not come of as doochie, even though it might. I am honestly trying to help if this is the direction that you want to go.

Thanks for the input :) As for the Frogskin acro question. Both look cool :p Yah I mainly want them for my 120g. I am just calling them by their name because thats the type of acro I see them as. Long story short... I want bright colored sps. I am sick of seeing the same garbage at the fish stores for sps. And Jda if you're willing I would be willing to pay retail for some of the acro's that you have. I would prefer to keep the money local than sending money to some random person in cali.

Also, I don't want to spend $50-$70 shipping for 1-2 corals. I have not been able to find a place that sells a lot of the high end nice corals so I can buy 10-12 of them in one go.

Come on JDA "the first rule of highend sps club is you dont talk about highend sps club". :tape: You mean to tell us there is a bougie underground community of highend sps hoaders out there who dont mingle with the common folks or "noobs". You could even lose your street cred if you dont say hawkins echinata-like or miyagi tort-like? Or if you dont have all of your lineages in a spreadsheet? :scared:How do they trade if they never post? Im just kidding btw. Thats why I used lots of emoticons:high5:. On a serious note I have a sweet Red on Red Cyphastrea that I got from ATL a few years ago that I could frag for you if you wanna trade for something you have that I dont. Its a Tyree now. It looks sweet under LED and is great for adding low light color to an sps reef(i know its not really sps). It likes really low light. I havn't seen any others like it.

What kinds of things are you looking for? Normally I don't go after cyphastrea but I might be interested. I guess I need to make my lineage spreadsheet. The only 2 named corals I have that are fraggable are Tyree BGM chalice, Tyree Jaydas Watermelon Chalice, Tyree satosa, Tyree pot of gold(like? still need to figure out the linage) and ATL green slimmer. the rest of my named I need to get the exact lineage for the corals before I trade them as a named coral. But from unnamed corals, I have a nice blue tenuis, Forest fire monti, Rainbow pocillopora, purple stylophora, a nice green and pink sarmentosa, teal millie, and a pastel green with purple tip acropora jacquelineae.

Too bad you missed the meeting at AA. Cris has some awesome SPS selection. I can pick stuff up for you there on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
