Yo Robert mine isn't doing well either I actually put the IM back on my tank because the pump on the pls-50 elite just isn't putting out fine bubbles anymore but more turbulent big bubbles that don't create any foam. Once the IM was back on it started producing foam immediately.
I've already contacted cadlights. He took my credit card number in case I didn't return the old pump when he "sent" my new one. Never showed up. Screw cadlights
I have a Tunze comline DOC 9004 Protein Skimmer that i used for about a month on my jbj 45 rimless. Too big for my compartments in the back just didn't work right, needs to be cleaned. Will trade for a couple corals
Sorry no help here, just chiming in to confirm cad lights pls 50 is just as described in its name, piece of little shi!. It worked good at first but always had issues even with an ato. Just got a 9001 to replace it myself.
