WTS Wrasse

#1
Hi, I have a neon tailspot wrasse I am selling. $30. Please let me know if you are interested. I am located in Windsor. He is about 4 inches long and has been doing great in my tank for a little over a year.

Yeah, he eats so much I feel like I can't get my other fish any food so then I put too much food in the tank and mess up my water parameters. I am still new to all this and just don't know how to balance everything.

Oh thanks for posting that. I believe it is a neon tailspot. I don't usually make it down that way no. Sorry! If you are interested I could let you know if I head that way though

Are they reef safe?

He hasn't touched any corals but occasionally will go after snails and maybe a smaller crab or something. I have a coral banded and a couple emerald crabs he hasn't touched.

Defiantly a melanarus wrasse I have one he's a pig for sure but great looking fish. Reef safe yes. If you add snails later do it at night as he likes to get a taste but he doesn't big them any other time only when you put them in.

I have a FOWLR tank that he'd probably do great in...I'm clear at the other end of the known universe of Denver metro...making a pickup could be a challenge. If somebody closer comes forward, feel free to sell him. Otherwise let's start trying to figure out a plan via PM.

Does this have the dot on the tail per the link above establishing sex? I have to see if he would have issues with my cleaner wrasse but looks like the size and color i have been looking for.

No, there appears to be no spot. I have never had a cleaner wrasse so I have no idea unfortunately as to if this wrasse would be a good tank mate with your cleaner.

FWIW...I have a 3"+ one in my tank. It doesn't seem to pick on anything but the smaller snail, stomatella etc. I have a scarlet shrimp and small hermits he even leaves alone. He also doesn't pick on my bicolor blenny or anyone else.
