LOL love the user comment "Sounds a little fishy"

Seems a bit overboard. I mean he will need some hardcore LEDs to penetrate

WOW! it will probably be a freshy just cause how in the world can you get enough light penetration 40ft down i mean 10 ft would be a challenge! even with half a million. And 19k a year to run......speechless

Wow, $4000 annual fish food bill? Cant wait to see the power bill for that monster, would open the roof and use solar lighting on it, otherwise yea he is not going to have much light on floor 1 and 2 lol

As suggested maybe he's doing something where light isn't needed all to much? OR wouldn't it be cool if he did azoo things towards the middle/bottom of the tank? He could have a "normal" reef at the top, all the way until the lights wouldn't be able to penetrate, and then all azoo corals after that? Maybe some nocturnal fish, etc? That'd be cool.

There was one day this winter where I had the kitchen blinds open and a shaft of sunlight snuck through into the living room onto my tank and I have never seen my corals so happy. Some things were double in size, no kidding. And I run halides and vho so it's not like I'm starving them. I would almost consider busting a hole in the roof.

I read that it was going to be 4 separate tanks stacked, but still, how would you clean them with only 3' across, even a diver would scratch the beans out of it with the air tank.

I wouldn't do the tank vertical like that, but create a huge shallow reef tank with some nice LEDS. Of course that is a dream and it would be like A million dollars. When you get that much money, people dont even know how to spend it. Looks like it would be cool.
