I think its because of the odd baffle system. I can't seem to wrap my head around how I would set it up as a QT or a sump. Maybe I need to see it in person.

Some newer clearer pictures might help, but at least from existing pics seemed somewhat unusual. (What may seem clear to you, I know I had to spend some time looking at pics to get what I think I was looking at right.)
