Has anyone on here upgraded to the TIR lenses? The attached link says they live up to the claim and for $30 I will be trying them. Hopefully the next upgrade can get them to the xp30 pro level.

I just went and picked them up! The LFS opened just to sell me the lenses. Great guys and they are really stepping it up on the corals. If your in GJ I really suggest you stop in as they are currently adding two more 4'x8' frag tanks.

Wow awesome to hear that you have a lfs over on the west side! Lmk what you think about the lenses!

You can definitely see the difference but I dont know if that really equates to more/better light. Unfortunately the wife had the camera so I was unable to show the side by side comparison.

i ve been running the tir lenses for a while Great improvement and I like that I was able to raise my lights about 16 inches off the water and still get amazing par. no more cleaning the lenses!

Would you mind sharing your par readings? Also have you heard anything about the red lights staying on?

I was getting about 400 at the sand bed. No issues with reds staying on. I am also running 10 of them.

Had the fan go out on mine was only 6 mts old! Really sucked!

yep. Had the check engine come online with my car 6 months in; had laptops not work out of the box, had cell phones stop working under warranty. It's a pain but it happens.

Damn your hard on thing! JK, I here what you are saying. Have you been on the ecotech community and read what some of those people are saying/expect. Anyway how close together are your fixtures to each other. Do you believe your par levels are that high because of overlap? I only have a measly three over my 180.

are you getting enough light over that tank. I am running only one on a 40g breeder and am starting to wonder if its enough light? I like to grow things on the sand bend...

I did the sep program they just send you a new one and u send old one back, it was pretty simple. When coustmer service helped me trouble shoot my problem, they first said I was power source so sent that back got a new one! Dam thing still didn't work! So called them back and well it must be the fixture, so in the end I did end up w a completely new unit!

I'm ready to jump on the Radion bandwagon, but just the fact that you guys know what customer service is like and having to send in the unit makes me want to look elsewhere.

Would you guys buy one again or something different this time around?

I havent had any problems with my radion in almost a year. I was referring to ecotechs customer service from a vortech pump issue that I had a couple years back. I love mine.

I really don't think I would with what it offers right now. I love everything about it other than the most important part, the spectrum. I don't know enough to know what's it lacking but I feel like I had better colors with the mh/t-5. I'm hoping the upcoming upgrade will help.
