It's recently stepped back into the rc world. I was a big nitro guy and got out for a few years. We'll the addiction is back but decided to go electric the brushless power is unreal. I picked up an e revo 1/16 a few months back and now have a small collection. Went to a 1/10 e revo brushless edition and grabbed my Xmas present today hpi savage flux hp brushless edition. http://youtu.be/mAP4sjiWUAw

Started back with electric cars, then gas cars, then helicopters havent been into rc in a while now. But i bought one of those little quad helicopters, it was only like 60$, best $ ive spent in a while. Lipos and brushless motors has mad a huge change in electric rc. Thinking of a electric rc car, one of the fast ones now.

I have always wanted an rc plane but don't know if I would like it enough or if it would fizzle out
They are insanely expensive and you spend more time fixing than you do flying.

The need for speed was my rc demise. Too expensive. Thinking about getting back into rocketry. That's a blast! LOL

Especially when you wreck em.
True story! The little bits cost a ton, and when you wreck, you don't know what all got effed up, so you spend a lot to fix it, then you just wreck again because you missed a tiny little detail.

My collection is a tad ridiculous.
Hpi trophy truggy flux with the 2200kv motor and blur esc run on 6s lipo
Traxxas mini e revo fully upgraded run on 3s lipo
Traxxas 1/10 e revo brushless stock for now run on 6s lipo
Losi mini eight fully upgraded run on 2s lipo
Hpi savage flux hp fully upgraded run on 6s lipo

I built my RC truck from one of the kits 10 years ago. My problem is that I could not paint to save my life, and going back and forth lost its appeal for me pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my big plane with the 6 ft wingspan, but what I really wanted was a heli. The problem was any of the good ones were really expensive, and my flying skills meant that I would easily double the cost in repairs right after buying it.

I do keep looking at the new cheap heli everyone has come out with.
